DescriptionFoundation for Management and Industrial Research (MIR) is a private research foundation established in 2002 with a mission to foster economic growth for the benefit of all. The concept of sustainable development with its economic, environmental and social dimensions is fundamental to the achievement of our mission. MIR influences policy, implements support programmes, technology-based projects and performs research activities, organized in four departments: 1) economic development, with its entrepreneurship programme focused on start-ups and scale-ups, running the largest and oldest ICT business incubator in the country, having dedicated training labs and vocational training programme; 2) research & innovation, dedicated to technology transfer, applied research and technical assistance, featuring innovation center for collaborative research; 3) environment, focused on environmental services for SMEs, development of intelligent energy solutions and running a dedicated eco-innovation center for training and technology watch in the field; and 4) society, working on social inclusion, inclusive innovation policy and local-economic development.
